EDA awards over $8 million in grants for economic development projects in Louisiana in 2023

In 2023, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued 10 grants totaling $8,883,604 to fund economic development projects in Louisiana.

This represents a 90.4% decrease from 2022, when the state received $92,268,537 in funding.

Louisiana ranked 19th across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2023. South Carolina topped the list with $30,038,466 in funding across 14 grants.

The Idea Village received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $2,000,000.
