Of the 686,997 students enrolled in Louisiana schools during the 2021-22 school year, 3.3% identified as Multiracial, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

This equals 22,672 Multiracial students in the year, which is a decrease from the year before.

In Louisiana, white was the most common ethnicity found in schools, representing 42.8% of the student body.

The majority of Louisiana students were either white or Black in the 2021-22 school year, accounting for about 85% of the total student body.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students in Louisiana, which is worse than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
