Louisiana agriculture department proposes repeal of central registry rules

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry has announced its plan to repeal certain regulations related to the central registry for recording financing statements and security devices associated with farm products. This proposal involves repealing LAC 7:XXXVII.101-119.

According to the department, a Notice of Intent will be published in the March 2025 edition of the State Register. Public participation is encouraged, as interested individuals can submit their written comments, data, opinions, and arguments about this proposed rule change. Submissions should be addressed to Amy L. McInnis at the Department of Agriculture & Forestry's office in Baton Rouge.

All submissions must be received by April 10, 2025, no later than 4:00 p.m., and must include a signature and date.
