The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced traffic restrictions to assist local authorities in managing traffic near the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. These measures will coincide with a special event in the area.

Starting Wednesday, February 5, at 10 a.m., westbound Calliope Street (US 90B Frontage Rd.) between Magazine St. and Annunciation St. in Orleans Parish will be closed until midnight on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

During this period, drivers exiting the Tchoupitoulas exit eastbound from the westbank will not have access to the Calliope St. exit ramp off the eastbound US 90B (Crescent City Connection bridge - Eastbound only). Eastbound traffic will be limited to exiting on the Tchoupitoulas St. ramp toward Uptown. The Westbound Tchoupitoulas St. exit will remain unrestricted.

DOTD advises motorists to exercise caution through the work zone and remain alert for work crews and their equipment.
