Cassidy Announces $10 Million in Flood Mitigation Assistance to Louisiana

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive a total of $10,032,980.60 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

“Our communities should not have to worry about when the next storm will flood their homes and businesses,” said Dr. Cassidy. “These grants help mitigate the risk of flooding and give families peace of mind for the future.”

This grant will provide federal funding for the elevation of 24 structures.

This grant will provide federal funding for the elevation of 13 structures.

This grant will provide federal funding for the elevation of 16 properties.
