This announcement was made through a Notice of Intent submitted to the Louisiana State Register. The proposed amendment pertains to LAC 7:I.105 and is aligned with Revised Statute 49:964, which requires agencies to establish rules for handling petitions related to declaratory orders and rulings on statutory provisions or agency rules.
The proposed rule outlines the procedure by which interested parties can submit petitions for changes in administrative rules to the department or any public body within it. The Notice of Intent will be published in the March 2025 edition of the State Register.
Individuals wishing to comment on the proposed rule can send written comments, data, opinions, and arguments. These submissions should be addressed to Amy L. McInnis at the Department of Agriculture & Forestry, located at 5825 Florida Blvd., Suite 2000, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. All comments must be received by April 10, 2025, no later than 4:00 p.m., and must include a signature and date.
