The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry has finalized a rule concerning seafood consumer protection. This action follows the submission of a Notice of Intent, in accordance with ACT 148 from the 2024 Regular Session, to the Louisiana State Register. The Department, through its Office of Agro-Consumer Services and Weights and Measures Division, has adopted LAC 7:XXXV.Chapter 5. Subchapter C.
The initial notice for this proposed action was published in the Louisiana Register on October 20, 2024, at LR 50:10 pages 1511-1512. The proposed rule was subsequently published in the Louisiana Register at LR 51:01 pages 29-30 and officially adopted on January 20, 2025.
