NFIB State Director Leah Long discussed the potential elimination of Louisiana's state income tax on Talk 107.3’s “Mornings with Brian Haldane.” According to Long, there will not be a special session on tax reform this year, but reducing or eliminating the state income tax remains a significant issue for NFIB's members in Louisiana.
“There are a lot of states around us that have eliminated the income tax,” Long mentioned, referring to Florida, Tennessee, and Texas. She emphasized that reducing or eliminating the state income tax “is one of our top priorities here in Louisiana.”
