Kennedy announces $2.6 million to Plaquemines Parish for Hurricane Ida

MADISONVILLE, La. – Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, on July 14 announced $2,559,957 in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants for Louisiana disaster aid.  

“Hurricane Ida dealt Plaquemines Parish a tough blow, and I am glad to see this $2.6 million go towards recovery efforts for Louisianians,” said Kennedy. 

The FEMA aid will fund the following:

  • $2,559,957 in federal funding to Plaquemines Parish for debris removal from Hurricane Ida.
