The Department of Revenue has announced an extension of tax deadlines for businesses affected by Hurricane Francine across all 64 parishes. This measure aims to alleviate financial pressure on entities impacted by the disaster.

The department specified that the extensions are applicable to returns and taxes due after September 11, 2024. Below are the revised deadlines for different tax categories:

- Individual, Fiduciary, and Partnership Income returns originally due between September 11, 2024, and February 3, 2025, are now due on February 3, 2025.

- Estimated Income Payments due on September 16, 2024, and February 3, 2025, have also been extended to February 3, 2025.

- Sales Taxes with due dates from September 11 to September 30, 2024, now have a deadline of October 20, 2024.

- Withholding Taxes initially due between September 11 and September 30, 2024, must now be paid by October 31, 2024.

- Severance & Excise Taxes with original due dates between September 11 and September 30, 2024, are extended to October 31, 2024.

These provisions aim to provide small businesses the necessary time to recover without incurring penalties or late fees. More information is available from the Department of Revenue.
