The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project has announced that tolling on the new bridge is expected to begin on April 2, 2025. This date is contingent upon the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) completing its final inspection.
The 2025 toll rates and vehicle class categories are available online at www.geauxpass.com/tolling. The public is advised to create an account with GeauxPass, Louisiana's statewide interoperable tolling system. Each vehicle requires a GeauxPass transponder sticker, which is free. Using GeauxPass provides easier passage over the bridge and offers reduced toll rates across all categories. Drivers without a GeauxPass will receive a toll invoice mailed to their registered address.
Registration for GeauxPass can be completed online via www.geauxpass.com or through the mobile app, though in-person registration events have been scheduled as well. Remaining events are set for March 26 and March 27 at Belle Chasse Auditorium from 9 am to 5 pm. Additional customer service resources are being added to support these events.
Residents of Plaquemines Parish must use a GeauxPass, operate a Class 1 vehicle, and provide proof of residency with a driver's license and vehicle registration displaying an address in Plaquemines Parish to qualify for the resident toll rate.
A new GeauxPass account requires an initial pre-funding of $30.
