The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has revealed plans for upcoming road closures on La. 352 in Henderson to facilitate the installation of new drainage structures.
The closures will be implemented in two phases. The first closure will occur on La. 352 (Henderson Hwy.), just east of its intersection with Cotton Gin Road. This section will be closed from Monday, April 7, 2025, at 6 a.m. until Thursday, April 10, at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
The second closure will take place on La. 352 (Henderson Hwy.), 0.05 miles east of its intersection with Leblanc Road. It is scheduled to start on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 6 a.m. and continue until Sunday, April 13, at 6 a.m., again weather permitting.
Detours have been established for the duration of the closures. Westbound traffic will be redirected to La. 349 (Nina Hwy) to La. 347 (Grand Point Hwy), while eastbound traffic will follow La. 347 (Grand Point Hwy) to La. 349 (Nina Hwy).
DOTD has noted that emergency vehicles will not have access through the affected areas during the closure periods.
The department expressed gratitude for public patience and issued a reminder to drive cautiously in the construction zones, keeping an eye out for crews and equipment.
