WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today applauded Shell for its announcement that the company headquarters will remain in New Orleans. The headquarters will move to a new building on the Mississippi River.

“This is great news for Shell and New Orleans. It shows that with the resources in New Orleans, our state is one of the best places for an employer such as Shell to locate,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This is a win-win.”

Shell has been a long-time member of the New Orleans business community, opening their first Louisiana office in 1929. Shell currently supports over 800 jobs in New Orleans with an annual payroll of nearly $175 million.
