Cassidy Announces $1.7 Million in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association will receive $1,731,396.60 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricane Ida. The funding is for damages to the Old Bridge Road Submarine Electrical Utility Crossing.

“Being prepared for the next storm means making our electric grid more resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is a step toward improving that resiliency.”
