The number of employees on nonfarm payrolls for August 2021 in the Baton Rouge metropolitan statistical area was 385,900, a 0.8 percent increase over the previous month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In July 2021, the Baton Rouge reported 382,800 workers on nonfarm payrolls.
