Climate Czar John Kerry has come under fire for using his private jet in 2019 to accept an award in Iceland.

Sen. John Kennedy commenting on this issue said that “If I were the secretary, I would respectfully suggest to him that he park the private plane.”

Kennedy told Sean Hannity of Fox News, that “what you do is what you believe and everything else is just conversation, so you have to lead by example.”

“If you offset your carbon, it’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle,” Kerry said when Icelandic reporter Jóhann Bjarni Kolbeinsson asked him if flying on a private jet to attend the event is an environmental way to travel. “I negotiated the Paris Accords for the United States. I’ve been involved in this fight for years. I negotiated with President Xi to bring President Xi to the table so we could get Paris,” Kerry further said.

On this note, Kennedy spoke about how people are fed up with people who think they are superior.

“People are so tired of being lectured by the managerial elite,” Kennedy said. “They think they’re better than the American people. They think they’re special and the rules don’t apply to them.”
