St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office announces multiple DWI arrests in May

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on May 18 that several individuals were arrested for driving while intoxicated and related offenses between May 15 and May 16.

The announcement highlights recent law enforcement efforts to address impaired driving and other violations in the community.

According to the release, James Williamson II, age 37 of Gretna, was arrested on Highway 90 in Luling on May 15. He faces charges including DWI, possession of Xanax, Adderall, Suboxone, Vyvanse, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), operating a vehicle with a suspended license, reckless operation without accident, improper lane usage, possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia, and sale or possession of legend drugs without prescription.

Jace Meyers, age 25 of Hahnville, was arrested on Queenie Road in Luling on May 16 for DWI as well as vehicle registration expired and simple obstruction of a highway of commerce. Marquez Callaway from Warner Robbins was also charged with DWI after an arrest on Highway 90 in Luling the same day.

Freddie Hills II from Slidell was arrested on Airline Highway in Destrehan for DWI along with charges including possession of methamphetamine and Vyvanse, operating with a suspended license, possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession of Tramadol and prohibited sale or possession of legend drugs without prescription. Jessie Murdock from Hammond was taken into custody for DWI and careless operation following an incident on Airline Highway in Destrehan.

These arrests reflect ongoing enforcement by local authorities to deter impaired driving and associated offenses.
