A small business roundtable with U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy is scheduled for August 21 in Baton Rouge. The event will provide local business owners an opportunity to engage directly with Senator Cassidy and discuss legislative matters affecting their operations.

Senator Cassidy will address issues important to the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) community, including efforts to repeal the beneficial ownership reporting law and a proposal for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to destroy collected small business data. He will also discuss the recent legislative success that made the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.

The event is set to take place from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Mestrizo Restaurant, located at 2323 S. Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge. Organizers note that space is limited and encourage interested participants to register in advance.

“Senator Cassidy has a deep understanding of what’s happening in Washington, and this is your chance to hear directly from him. He’ll share updates on key NFIB priorities, including the push to repeal the beneficial ownership reporting law and require FinCEN to destroy all small business data, as well as the recent victory in making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.”

“It’s a rare opportunity to speak one-on-one with your senator about the issues that matter most to your business.”

Those wishing to attend can find more information and register through the event’s online portal.
