Shreveport Police seek public help to locate Casey Jamel Henderson in crash investigation

The Shreveport Police Department announced on May 4 that it is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Casey Jamel Henderson, 36, of Benton, Louisiana. Henderson is wanted in connection with a serious vehicle crash that occurred on February 18 on LA Highway 511/W. 70th Street near Broadacres Road.

According to police investigators, Henderson was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound at approximately 10:05 p.m. when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The driver of the Rogue, an 18-year-old female, suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and remains in a medical rehabilitation facility.

Henderson faces charges including Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) — Enhanced, First Degree Vehicular Negligent Injuring, and Improper Lane Usage/Failure to Maintain Lane. Detectives have not yet located him and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

In their statement, police said: “Someone’s daughter is still recovering from this crash. It’s time for Henderson to come forward.” The department emphasized the importance of community cooperation in resolving this case.

The search for Henderson continues as authorities appeal for tips from residents who may have knowledge about his location.
