Shreveport Police announced on Apr. 21 that officers arrested a suspect in connection with a catalytic converter theft reported at Sam’s Town on April 12.

The case began when police responded to the incident just after 9:00 PM at the casino located at 315 Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Officers reviewed security footage and, with help from Sam’s Town security staff, identified a suspect who had previously been barred from the property.

Authorities said that on April 16, just after 10:40 PM, officers recognized the individual—identified as David Ross—under the Red River District Bridge and took him into custody. Ross faces charges of criminal trespass and theft of a catalytic converter.

Chief Smith and the Shreveport Police Department said they “would like to commend the officers for their proactive work in investigating this crime and holding the offender accountable.”

The department did not release further details about court proceedings or potential sentencing. The case highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address property crimes in public areas.
