U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy visited RNGD’s Southeast Region campus in Metairie on Friday, meeting with employees and touring the facility. During his visit, Cassidy highlighted the company’s role in employing local workers and contributing to infrastructure projects across the southern United States.

“RNGD is a Louisiana company employing people from Louisiana as they build structures across the south. President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts bill gives more opportunity to create more jobs, and lets those workers keep more of their hard-earned money. I was glad to support it,” said Dr. Cassidy.

Cassidy noted that his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has directed over $10 billion to Louisiana, with significant funding allocated for roads, bridges, and highways. He emphasized that companies like RNGD are responsible for constructing much of this new infrastructure.

He also referenced his vote in favor of President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts bill, which made permanent income tax reductions from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and included provisions to help small businesses expense capital investments.

During discussions at RNGD, Cassidy addressed the company’s recent $25 million investment to consolidate its Southeast Region campus. This initiative is expected to retain 265 jobs in the region and create an additional 130 positions. The site also includes Renegade Academy, a training center offering professional and workforce development programs.

Mr. Jerry Bologna, President and CEO of JEDCO—the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission—accompanied Cassidy on the tour. JEDCO assisted RNGD with its expansion efforts in Jefferson Parish.

“RNGD’s decision to deepen its presence in Jefferson Parish has helped create more high-paying jobs and opportunities in our community while also amplifying the global message that JP is a destination for business, innovation and economic growth,” said Mr. Bologna. “Senator Cassidy’s visit to the state-of-the-art, 14-acre campus provides a special recognition of the company’s significant investment in Jefferson Parish and highlights the attention that this project has received on a national scale.”
