Kentrell Williams, also known as “Fire,” age 43, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was indicted on January 29, 2026, for distribution of fentanyl. The announcement was made by United States Attorney David I. Courcelle.
Court documents state that Williams distributed about 56 grams of fentanyl in New Orleans on August 13, 2025.
If found guilty of distributing fentanyl, Williams could face a minimum sentence of five years and up to forty years in prison. He could also be fined up to $5 million and would be subject to at least four years of supervised release and a mandatory $100 special assessment fee.
United States Attorney Courcelle said, “the indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.”
The investigation involved the Drug Enforcement Administration, Louisiana State Police, the Major Crimes Task Force, and the New Orleans Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lynn E. Schiffman from the Narcotics Unit is prosecuting the case.
