No. 22 LSU will return to Southeastern Conference play by hosting Ole Miss for a three-game softball series at Tiger Park from April 17-19. All games will be available via streaming on SEC Network+.
The matchup is important as both teams look to improve their standings in the conference. LSU enters the weekend with a record of 29-14 overall and 6-9 in the SEC, while Ole Miss holds a 27-18 overall record and is 2-13 in conference play.
The Tigers lead the all-time series against the Rebels, holding a 58-17 advantage, including a strong record at home. However, Ole Miss won two out of three games during their last meeting in Baton Rouge in 2024. LSU recently achieved its program’s 48th no-hitter with an eight-run victory over UL Lafayette and is seeking its first home SEC series win this season.
LSU’s offense has produced a .266 batting average, ranking seventh nationally with high numbers in walks and runs scored. The pitching staff has posted an earned run average of 2.62 and notched more than two hundred strikeouts so far this year. Sierra Daniel leads LSU hitters with a .341 average, while Jayden Heavener leads pitchers with eleven wins and ninety-four strikeouts.
Ole Miss arrives after dropping four straight SEC contests but previously upset then No. 4 Tennessee on the road late March. The Rebels have shown power at the plate with sixty home runs this season and feature three players hitting above .360: Persy Llamas (.395), Madi George (.380), and Cassie Reasner (.368). Emilee Boyer heads their pitching staff with nine wins and over one hundred strikeouts.
