The No. 13 LSU Beach Volleyball Team will participate in the Gulf Front Invitational on April 17 and 18 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The team is scheduled to play against Mercer, South Florida, FGCU, and No. 5 Florida State.
Head coach Russell Brock said, “This weekend will be a great test. We face some new teams, some we’ve faced before and some really talented teams.”
The Tigers are set to begin their matches with Mercer on Friday morning at 10:30 AM Central Time and will then play South Florida at 1:00 PM Central Time. On Saturday, LSU continues with a match against FGCU at 8:00 AM Central Time followed by a contest against No. 5 Florida State at 11:45 AM Central Time.
Brock also commented on the significance of the event for the team’s development as they approach postseason competition. “It will be a great opportunity to see how we’ve improved as we head towards the post season. I’m looking forward to building again and continuing to push forward in our growth. I have high expectations for our performance.”
