Leah Long, the Louisiana State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), was a guest on “Mornings with Brian Haldane” on Talk 107.3 in Baton Rouge. During her appearance, Long spoke about how small businesses are preparing for the last quarter of the year as they face uncertainty due to a possible federal government shutdown.

Long also addressed recent trends showing increased optimism among small business owners in Louisiana. She highlighted the state’s new “One Door” workforce policy, which is designed to make it easier for job seekers and employers to connect across Louisiana.

In addition, Long previewed legislative initiatives that aim to reform workers’ compensation in the state.
