The LA Tech Bulldogs will play a three-game Conference USA baseball series against Kennesaw State from April 17 to 19, according to an April 16 announcement. The games will take place at Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field in Kennesaw, Georgia, with first pitches scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday midday.
This matchup marks the first time the two teams meet on Kennesaw State’s home field. LA Tech enters the series with a seven-game winning streak and holds a season record of 22-16 overall and 9-6 in conference play. Their current stretch is their longest winning streak since 2024 and their best start to April since 2021.
The Bulldogs have shown strong performance recently, batting .283 as a team over their last eight games and averaging more than six runs per game during that period. Their pitching staff has maintained a low earned run average of 2.38 this month. Declan Dahl has contributed significantly on the mound with a record of one win and no losses in his last two starts while allowing just two earned runs across thirteen innings.
Kennesaw State comes into the series with an overall record of 16-17 and a conference mark of 6-9. The Owls recently ended a four-game losing streak by defeating Mercer earlier this week but have only won two out of their last nine contests. Cooper Williams leads the Owls’ offense with a .339 batting average, while Jackson Chirello follows closely at .318; both are key contributors in runs batted in as well.
Projected starting pitchers for KSU include Cooper McMullen (2-2 record, 4.14 ERA) for Friday’s opener and Nolan Silver (4.84 ERA) later in the weekend. Daniel Powell is expected to continue his role out of the bullpen after making sixteen relief appearances this season.
