Intermittent lane closures are scheduled for both northbound and southbound lanes of LA 39 (W. Judge Perez Drive) in St. Bernard Parish on Monday, September 29, 2025. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that the closures will occur between Norton Avenue and LA 47/Paris Road from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, weather permitting.

The purpose of the closure is surface abrasion testing as part of project H.015809. During the work, at least one lane will remain open in each direction to maintain traffic flow. DOTD stated that emergency vehicles will have full access throughout the duration of the lane closures.

“DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment,” according to the department.

The intermittent lane closures are expected to last only during the specified hours on September 29.
