The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced the commencement of a $7.4 million rehabilitation project on La. 100 in Acadia Parish. The construction is set to begin on Monday, March 17, 2025, covering a 5.32-mile section from La. 97 to La. 91.
The project will involve several activities including clearing and grubbing, lime treatment, in-place cement treated subgrade and base course, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, drainage structures, and related work.
Construction work is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. Intermittent lane closures are expected during this period which may cause delays for drivers. The road will remain open to regular traffic with a maximum lane restriction of 12 feet for oversized loads passing through the work zone. Emergency vehicles will have access but might face delays.
The project is anticipated to be completed by winter 2025/2026.
