The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced upcoming lane closures as part of the I-10 Widening Project in East Baton Rouge Parish. The closures are scheduled to affect nighttime traffic, specifically on Dalrymple Drive from East Lakeshore Drive to March Street. This section will be fully closed from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., beginning Tuesday, September 30 through Wednesday, October 1.

According to DOTD, these construction activities depend on weather conditions and may change if necessary.

“DOTD urges drivers to plan accordingly, allowing extra travel time and exercising caution when driving through construction zones. The safety of both the traveling public and construction workers is of utmost importance, and motorists should stay alert for work crews and their equipment,” stated DOTD.

For more details about the I-10 Widening Project, the public can visit I10br.com. Real-time updates on traffic and road conditions are available through the 511 Traveler Information System at www.511la.org or by using the 511la app. Out-of-state travelers have access to information by calling 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511). DOTD expressed appreciation for public patience during these necessary closures and reiterated its commitment to minimizing disruptions whenever possible.
