The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that the left and middle lanes of I-10 eastbound between Terrace Avenue and City Park Lake in Baton Rouge will be closed today, September 25, 2025, starting at 9 a.m. The on-ramp from Braddock Street to I-10 eastbound will also be closed during this time.

According to DOTD, the closure is required so crews can temporarily patch a damaged section of the roadway with asphalt. Permanent repairs using concrete are planned for a later date. DOTD expects to reopen the affected travel lanes by 3 p.m. today.

In a statement, DOTD said: “DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution around construction sites and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.”

Drivers are encouraged to stay informed about current traffic conditions through the 511 Traveler Information System. They can access updates by dialing 511 or visiting www.511la.org.
