As President Biden revealed new rules regarding Title IX protections in April of 2024, which redefined “sex” to include “gender-identity,” an analysis by Pelican State News shows that Louisiana is one of 27 states that ban boys from playing in girls’ high school sports.
Bossier City has the most players of any city representing Louisiana in the tournament.
Lafayette, Monroe, Baton Rouge and New Orleans players represent Louisiana in the tournament.
