The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced the early completion of an asphalt overlay project on US 80 in Bossier Parish. The project, which cost $8.4 million, finished about four months ahead of its planned schedule.

According to DOTD, the improvements are expected to enhance travel along a busy section that runs through east Bossier City and extends into Haughton. The department stated that this work will provide a better experience for motorists who use this corridor regularly.
