Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced on Apr. 16 that Deputy Carly Campo has graduated from the Lafourche Basic Training Academy as a level I fully certified peace officer.

Campo, who is currently assigned to the Communications Division, completed the academy which began on January 12 and concluded with a graduation ceremony this past Wednesday. The training included instruction in traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, search and seizure, report writing, domestic law, narcotics, and other law enforcement subjects.

Campo has worked in the Communications Division for four and a half years. Sheriff Falcon attended the graduation ceremony along with Chief Deputy Bruce Prejean and Deputy Jude Verrette.

Sheriff Falcon said he was pleased to announce Campo’s achievement. “We congratulate Carly on her academy graduation,” he said.
