U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) has secured $1,323,770.00 in federal funding for Louisiana as part of several appropriations bills for fiscal year 2026. The package includes allocations from the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development; Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education; Defense; Financial Services and General Government; and National Security and Department of State appropriations bills. The legislation is now awaiting President Donald Trump’s signature.
“We need better national security and a stronger, safer Louisiana. That’s what a $1.3 billion investment gets you,” said Dr. Cassidy.
The funds are intended to support various projects across the state aimed at improving infrastructure, public health, education, defense readiness, financial services operations, and national security initiatives.
