President Donald Trump met with U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) and other Senate Republicans at the White House for a working lunch to discuss moving forward with nominations in the U.S. Senate and addressing the government shutdown known as the Schumer Shutdown.

“Great to be back at the White House today for lunch with President Trump,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Working together, we’re moving his agenda forward in the Senate to get results for the American people.”

The meeting follows an event held yesterday where Senator Cassidy joined President Trump at the White House to celebrate Louisiana baseball.
